First Texas Bank is seeking a dynamic Back Office Operations Specialist for our Killeen location.

What you will be doing: You will be responsible for a variety of back office functions in order to facilitate the daily deposit account processing and customer service activities of the bank.

In addition, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Provides account services to incoming customer calls.
  • Process all Back-Office Operations daily tasks by a rotation of duties to include but not limited to rejects, large items, incoming and outgoing wire transfers, ACH originations and returns, NSF pay selection, referral accounts, stop payment reports, online transfers, inactive and dormant accounts, digital banking requests and questions, mobile remote deposit capture, SisterBank settlement.
  • Cross-sells bank products by answering inquiries, informing customers of new services and product promotions, ascertaining customers’ needs.
  • Balance daily wire transfers, ACH origination and expense checks.
  • Provide the Data Center with daily system posting to assist in balancing the bank.
  • Monthly charge offs, dormant letters, reconcile IOLTA (interest on lawyer’s trust) accounts and additional monthly reporting.
  • Complies with bank operations and security procedures by participating in all dual-control functions.
  • Maintains customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential.

Who will be a good fit for this role:

· Education – High School diploma or equivalent (GED)

· Six months consecutive customer service experience in financial services, bookkeeping, retail sales, or a goal- oriented environment preferred

· Strong attention to detail and adaptability to handle several tasks simultaneously.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet, Intranet.

· Excellent interpersonal and public relations skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Must be available to travel to all bank locations as required.

· Flexibility to work past normal business hours as necessary.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
