Position Summary:
To provide efficient, professional, friendly, and personal administrative services to the Lending Staff as well as to all customers.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative assistance to Loan Officers and Staff and assembling documentation for loans
- Order credit reports, order appraisals, initiate title work, order floods and do UCC searches
- Ensure loan files contain documents with proper signatures, dates, correct legal descriptions and other data
- Transfers, Advances or other Transactions for customers
- Review Loan Exceptions with Loan officer
- Meet and greet everyone who enters the lobby of the bank in a personal and professional manner
- Assist and direct customers and potential customers to the appropriate areas of the bank
- Provide assistance and entry into the customer(s) safe deposit boxes
- Answer incoming phone calls quickly and efficiently and determine the caller needs
- Perform clerical duties (copy, scanning, fax, and indexing) as required
- Control opening and closing hours of the bank as it relates to the front entrance doors
- Prepare requisitions for approval and payment submission
- Prepare necessary refreshments daily
- Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act
- Cross-sell Firstar loan products and services plus others
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Skills, Abilities, and Experience:
- Six (6) months of experience in an office environment, preferably in a bank
- Interpersonal/service-oriented skills and abilities
- Willingness to function in a team environment
- Excellent organization skills
- Proactive rather than reactive approach to the job
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Working knowledge of computer spreadsheets and word processing programs
- Confidentiality
- Ability to function effectively without close supervision
- Successful completion of in-house bankers training
- Good understanding of Firstar products and services
Education:
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
Essential Functions:
- Ability to ascend and descend stairs, ability to perform stooping, reaching sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 25 pounds, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion. May be required to work some evenings and/or weekends, as necessary.
