A Brief Overview
The Consumer Processor Supervisor will manage daily operations in one or more processing teams in Consumer Originations. The responsibilities will include coordination of staff and processes in all applicable areas needed to complete the processing of a loan in accordance with company and/or investor policies. This person will promote a positive, team-oriented environment and provide excellent customer service. They will also evaluate and implement department processes.
What you will do
- Evaluating, documenting and implementing department processes and responding to audits.
- Provide ongoing feedback, training, and coaching to Assistant Supervisor.
- Promote a positive, team-oriented environment.
- Lead and organize departmental meetings to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Provide and encourage excellent customer service to branch officers and employees.
- Highest level of authority to review and clear conditions.
- Intermediary and central point of contact for Branch Officers, Market Loan Staff and other internal departments for escalations and process issues.
- Set and execute internal departmental goals and service level objectives.
- Reviewing loan documents/disclosures to comply with Loan Policy, investor guidelines and/or regulatory requirement.
- Hire, train/mentor new or junior members in the department or at the branches.
- Supervising and evaluating training materials for all individuals involved in the loan origination process.
- Budgeting department funds for employee appreciation and incidental expenses.
- Evaluate and process exception requests
- Knowledge of Human Resources procedures and documentation.
- Work with risk management, audit controls and self-testing documentation
- Supports special projects
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
- Understand and comply with all provisions of the Safety in the Workplace policy
Supervises the work of a group of direct reports. Responsible for performance management and evaluations; hiring and staffing, scheduling. Enforces policies and procedures. Directs day-to-day work of employees, through supervision of lead staff or directly. Supervisory responsibilities may be limited to a specific shift or a portion of a function, facility or location. May assist with training and payroll. Coaches and develops staff.
Minimum Requirements
- Typically requires a minimum of 1-2 years of related functional experience and prior supervisory experience
Preferred Requirements
- Demonstrates strong leadership qualities
- Ability to effectively manage a full workload with little assistance
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency in loan policy and investor guidelines
- Candidates need to be able to clearly communicate potential issues to the officer, and provide feedback on how to restructure transactions to ensure investor and/or internal compliance
- Advanced problem solving and the ability to research complex issues
- Advanced knowledge of required loan file documentation and closing documents
- Competency in all federal and state regulations related to lending
- Clear understanding of the company’s internal pre-close and/or quality control review process
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products and loan systems
- Strong written and verbal communication, decision-making and problem solving skills
- Detail-oriented and strong organization skills
- Effective time-management skills
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Frequently remains stationary throughout a typical business day
- Frequently operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
- Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and other rooms
- Occasionally positions self to access drawers and shelves of various heights
- Frequently reaches for and handles paperwork and files
- Constantly communicates with customers, coworkers, and management in-person and on the phone
- Must be able to exchange accurate information
Salary Range
$31.75 Per Hour to $42.43 Per Hour
