Job Title: Legal Assistant
Location: Boston, MA 02210 (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, with a 4th day every other week)
Compensation: $65-87K annual base salary (commensurate with experience) plus discretionary bonus and benefits
Scope of Role / Responsibilities
This person will be required to be in the office 70% of the time (3 days per week Tuesday through Thursday, plus a 4th day every other week).
• Maintain organized paper and electronic files
• Coordinate and modify complex travel arrangements
• Prepare expense reports
• Prepare all materials related to the firm’s billing process
• Maintain calendars, schedule meetings, book conference rooms and make reservations
• Handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls
• Maintain contact management system
• Complete daily diaries for timekeepers accurately and on time
• Type, prepare, revise and process legal documents, correspondence, memoranda, presentations, and occasional court documents using standard Microsoft Office products
• Proofread work products
Qualifications
• Targeting 3 years of experience in a legal administrative assistant position in a law firm environment
• Prior experience in litigation is a required
• Prior experience supporting general counsel would be highly desirable.
• Willing to commit 2 years to the position (NOT open to candidates planning to go to law school in the future
• Seeking a career legal admin assistant with strong tenures (candidates that have had a high degree of transiency (i.e. changing jobs every two years) must provide ample context for their career narrative and what motivated/circumstances around their job changes)
• Excellent tech-savvy well beyond baseline proficiency in Microsoft Word (advanced skillset in Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a proven ability to quickly get up to speed with new technology with little support
Salary : $65,000 - $87,000
