About the team:
The Stage team at Worldpay eComm is responsible for shepherding all of the code that our feature development teams produce, into our production environments. This includes running a suite of production acceptance tests against a release candidate to ensure performance and stability. Testing the deployment into a production like environment with a focus on absolute zero outage. Then ultimately supporting the deployment into our production environments. With our deployments happening at a four-week cadence, the need for automation is clear. The selected candidate will help to build automation around these tasks as well as develop additional performance testing capabilities.
What you will be doing:
- Design, develop, and test enhancements to our capacity testing framework to increase the amount of feature coverage we have available
- Build automation for additional production acceptance tests
- Design, develop and test a pipeline of automated production acceptance tests
- Support, and enhance our production deployment automation
- Support other development team testing efforts on production like environments
- Troubleshoot performance issues stemming from our automated tests and provide feedback to feature development teams
What you will need:
- A Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
- A "team focus" with strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to quickly grasp high-level business goals, derive requirements, and translate them into effective technical solutions
- Exceptional design and programming skills (Python is a must, Java also preferred)
- Experience in Linux/Unix environments and scripting
- Experience with automation tools like Jenkins
- Proficiency with SQL, relational data modeling, and basic database schema design
- Ability to solve architectural and system issues involving scalability, distributed systems, and relational databases
- Ability to fluidly change context and priorities based on changing business needs
- Penchant toward self-motivation. These words should describe you: dedicated, energetic, curious, conscientious, and flexible

- Prior experience working with large relational databases
