MEP DESIGN SUPERVISOR

Job Summary

As an MEP Design Supervisor, you will be an essential part of Fischer Homes’ construction process as you coordinate and maintain the MEP design phase of each of our homes. In this role, you will ensure that our internal and external associates have accurate plans to complete homes by coordinating documents required for permitting, construction, system performance, and data analysis. These skills will be used to: 

• Manage MEP outsources to ensure work is completed per the scope of work in the required time frame.
• Produce plans and construct details accurately, timely, and within Fischer Homes standards. 
• Communicate between architectural, structural, and mechanical disciplines regarding coordination elements and code requirements.
• Perform basic mechanical load calculations to confirm/verify outsource requirements
• Provide details of recurring issues and problems to appropriate departments to proactively solve future problems. 
• Deliver complete and accurate drawing set(s) with conflict resolution, and coordinate documents required for the building and permitting process.
• Evaluate and compare live jobs, reviewing all MEP installation methods, quantities, and resources. Provides Analysis Reports showing deviations.
• Coordinate with HVAC trade partners and serves as the main point of contact for plan changes based on field requirements.
• Assist with energy start requirements and updates as needed.
• Demonstrate creativity by finding new and/or better solutions, within Fischer Homes guidelines, to new or recurring problems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems (commercial and residential)
• Ability to design single-family MEP
• Working knowledge of Excel and Data Analysis
• AutoCAD experience
• Revit experience
• Third-Party MEP Software
• Familiar with the IECC
