This is a senior product position to support the build out of critical Prologue functionality such as core integration and multicurrency to support Prologue position as the Financial Accounting Surround Solution for Fiserv cores and maintain revenue stream of $39M annually and 10% growth rate.
The Senior Product Owner will play a foundational role within the Enterprise Performance Management team serving as a transformational bridge between Product Management and Development. Working in an agile environment, the individual will serve as the product owner on the scrum team with daily responsibilities anchored around requirements writing/elaboration and being a guidepost for the development team to deliver on the requirements. The primary solution the Product Owner will support is the Prologue Financials. The role will involve mentoring and teaching best practices to more junior team members.
The Senior Product Owner has knowledge of Enterprise Performance Management solutions, experience with the agile development methodology, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
(Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills):
15 years of product owner experience, preferably within the realm of Enterprise Performance Management
and experience working in an FI Finance and/or Accounting role.
Working knowledge of General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Fixed Asset principles
Knowledge of the Pragmatic Product Marketing framework
Previous experience with agile development practices
Proven track record of building effective, collaborative relationships with software developers
Detail-oriented, able to bring clarity to complex situations, and skilled at bridging the gap between technical and non-technical audiences
Results-oriented at an individual and team level, ambitious, and strong ability to follow-through on commitments
Business, Finance or Computer Science Undergraduate degree
Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities
Strength in verbal and written communication
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Actively participate with product managers and product development teams to define product requirements, specifications, acceptance testing criteria and design requirements
Write business requirements, ensuring that expressed functionality achieves the goals established by the product team
Serve as Product Owner, engaging with Scrum team on a daily basis to ensure requirements are understood and that software being developed meets the business requirements
Serve as application and industry resource for clients and employees
Complete documentation which may include various analysis and design specification documents
Ensure documents are technically accurate, timely, and client orientated
Track and provide regular status updates on individual tasks within the project
