Continuous Improvement Engineering Co-op
Five Star Fabricating is a privately held, fast growing expert in manufacturing high-performance composite,
polycarbonate, and plastic components for a variety of applications in the automotive industry that is located
about 15 minutes East of Lake Geneva, WI. Our Engineering team is seeking a Co-op student to embark on a
rewarding journey of hands-on learning and professional growth. This opportunity is designed for engineering
students eager to apply their academic knowledge in real world setting.
Responsibilities:
To drive a culture of continuous improvement at Five Star, the candidate will perform the below tasks and more:
- Shadow departments on the manufacturing floor and identify improvement opportunities in quality,
- Design and construct production fixturing and equipment.
- Create process maps of manufacturing processes.
- Identify and eliminate ergonomic and safety concerns on the manufacturing floor.
- Generate manufacturing process documentation and training.
- Participate in 5S events.
- Use root cause analysis tools to identify quality issues and address them.
Qualifications:
- Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Technology Background
- Experience with 2D and 3D Design Software
- Prior Work and Internship Experience Highly Preferred
- Junior, Senior, or Graduate Level Students Preferred
- A Willing, Humble, Available, and Teachable Attitude

Work Schedule: This position is an in-office role. Flexible time is available for this position with core position
hours occurring between 8:00AM and 4:00PM Monday - Thursday and 8:00AM – 12:00PM on Fridays. Outside of
these hours, the employee may flex their schedule to meet a minimum of 40 hours per week.
