- Financial Reporting and Analysis:
o Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
o Analyze financial data, trends, and variances to provide insights for senior management decision-making.
o Collaborate with other departments to gather and interpret financial information for strategic planning purposes.
o Present financial results and insights to leadership in a clear and actionable manner.
- Month-End and Year-End Close:
o Lead and manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
o Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports prepared by your team.
o Monitor and maintain schedules for key accounting activities, such as accruals and prepayments.
- Day-to-Day Transactional Accounting:
o Provide oversight and guidance to your team in performing day-to-day transactional accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
o Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, including coding, classification, and proper documentation.
- Forecasting and Budget Compilation:
o Collaborate with relevant departments to compile and analyze data for the creation of accurate financial forecasts and budgets.
o Assist in developing financial models and projections to support strategic planning initiatives.
o Monitor actual performance against forecasts and budgets, identifying and explaining variances.
- Leadership and Team Management:
o Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks and professional growth.
o Set performance objectives, conduct regular performance reviews, and identify training and development opportunities for team members.
o Foster a collaborative and positive team environment that values open communication and knowledge sharing.
- Process Improvement:
o Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting processes, systems, and controls.
o Implement best practices and standardized procedures to streamline financial operations.
o Stay current with accounting standards and industry trends to ensure compliance and optimal financial practices.
Profil
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. A CPA designation is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Controller or similar role, with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Experience managing and leading a team of finance professionals.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions.
- Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
