Business Intelligence Analyst (Hiring ASAP)

Our client is looking to hire a Sr. BI Analyst in the Mesquite, Texas. This is direct hire opportunity for our client.

Summary: In this role you will serve as a key member of the corporate finance team by providing analysis and reports to help the OV business make informed and timely decisions. This role will engage and collaborate with many areas of the business supporting both regular and ad-hoc financial, operational, and statistical analyses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions.
• Provide guidance and best practices on the configuration and deployment of Power BI reports & dashboards.
• Leverage Power BI to modernize existing reporting and data analytics.
• Develop Power BI models using a combination of data sources for various departments.
• Perform data cleaning and aggregation of core data sources.
• Develop Power BI dashboards and publish to the respective workspaces for stakeholders.
• Modify reports to optimize user experience and dashboard.
• Document and socialize models behind Power BI reports to promote transparency of analysis.
• Responsible for performing special projects to improve process efficiency and performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of Power BI and Dashboard creation experience
• Top Skills: SSAS, Tabular Models, SSIS, SQL, Power BI
• Experience with SSAS & ETL packages and multidimensional cubes with tabular models
• Understand different data models: normalized, denormalized, star and snowflake models.
• Knowledge of DAX expressions/statements and queries
• Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university Additional Required

Qualifications:

• Ability to review and understand data from a finance perspective.
• Superior analytical, prioritization and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to critically evaluate and synthesize complex processes and large sets of data for trend analysis, operations improvement, and root cause analysis. Significant experience with predictive forecasting model.
• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to effectively multi-task, make tradeoffs, take initiative, and prioritize within a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• Collaborative team-player with strong interpersonal skills. Meticulous attention to detail. * Familiarity with data table structures and manipulating large data sets.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information in a professional, mature manner. * Advanced Excel and ERP experience
• Comfortable communicating in all modes including email, phone or WebEx.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Printing, Manufacturing or construction industry experience highly desired. * * Finance experience is a plus.
