We are seeking a full-time Dietary Cook for Day/Evening shifts to join our team of exceptional and motivated caregivers. We are looking for individuals with a desire to contribute and make a difference in the lives of the community we serve.
The Dietary Cook’s primary duties include preparing and cooking family style meals for residents of skilled nursing facility. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of non-supervisory employees in the absence of the Dietary Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Prior experience preferred but not necessary.
- One-year institutional food service experience as a cook preferred.
- Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and team concept.
- Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
- Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition to supervisor or nurse.
