ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Treasury Management Specialist has an important role in supporting the Bank’s deposit growth initiatives. This position is responsible for supporting the Treasury Management Officer(s) and deposit account related aspects of the Bank with a primary focus in treasury management. The position will primarily provide support in the following areas: treasury management, online banking, new accounts, file imaging and document retention. The specific responsibilities are further outlined below:

Client Service

  • Actively participate with the Treasury Management Officer(s) in deposit related business development activities and solicitation of new bank relationships with an active involvement in instilling and maintaining a positive sales environment through education of current and prospective clients regarding the Bank's products and services.
  • Participate in client meetings to assist with ensuring the successful onboarding of new client relationships and the expansion of existing client relationships.
  • Reinforce the application of superior customer service through his or her own example along with appropriate follow through with involved clients and employees.
  • Prepare account documentation for treasury management clients including new account documents, wire, ACH and RDC agreements and establishes each account on the Bank’s core system.
  • Serve as a primary contact for the set-up of treasury management services on the various systems, which would include the set-up of online banking, ACH, RDC, e-statements and analysis products.
  • Provide proficient technical support for electronic banking products such as Business Online Banking, Bill Payment, Positive Pay and other services.

Operations Support and Regulatory Compliance

  • Process Account Analysis statements monthly, ensuring that the statements and charges are accurate.
  • Ensures the accurate and complete retention of all deposit file documentation, by imaging deposit account files, agreements and signed documents into the AccuAccount imaging system.
  • Receive and process stop payment and hold notices.
  • Process credit card, debit card, ATM access card, and OVB applications.
  • Orders checks, endorsement stamps and deposit slips.
  • Assist in the preparation of operations audits as it relates to treasury management services.
  • May process online banking transactions including ACH, external transfers, mobile remote deposit items, etc.
  • Perform other treasury management and operational duties as required.
  • Adhere to Bank policies, government regulations and legal requirements.

Qualifications


EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner. Individual experience and abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.

  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one year of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Work related experience should consist of a financial institution operations, sales or customer service background. Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related
  • Intermediate experience, knowledge and training in treasury service activities, terminology and products and services relating to retail and commercial deposit account products and treasury services.
  • Intermediate knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, and other Bank operational policies
  • Intermediate computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office products as well as bank accounting and new account documentation software programs
  • Basic math skills including the ability to balance accounts, calculate interest, etc.
  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and communicate clearly to customers and employees
  • Ability to regularly address and resolve problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations
