Business Development Lead

As the Business Development Lead, you will be responsible for identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships, driving sales growth, and expanding our customer base. Your expertise in developing and executing business strategies, combined with your exceptional leadership skills, will enable you to thrive in this challenging and rewarding role. You will collaborate with senior management to achieve our ambitious business objectives.
As a Business Development Lead at FLE, you will:
· Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to identify new revenue streams, market segments, and expansion opportunities.
· Build out the sales team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support
· Identify and build strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, including OEMs, suppliers, and strategic partners.
· Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to align customer needs with our technology roadmap, driving product enhancements and new product development.
· Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
· Oversee the development and negotiation of contracts, pricing strategies, and business proposals.
· Represent FLE at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field. An MBA is highly desired.
· 5-20 years of experience.
· Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or related roles within the automotive or energy industry.
· Strong leadership abilities, with experience managing and motivating a sales team.
· Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
· Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, resulting in revenue growth and market expansion.
· Knowledge of battery technology and the electric vehicle industry is advantageous.
· Battery management systems experience is a plus.
· Willingness to travel as required.
U.S. Citizenship or lawful permanent residence is a plus
Compensation: Anticipated salary range: $100,000-140,000 per year, along with health insurance, dental, vision, and a PTO plan. Equity and performance bonuses will be negotiated. A relocation package is provided. Remote employment will be considered for this role and evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
