Fleetway Market Café Manager’s Mission
Responsible for the supervision, training and management of the food and beverage operations in accordance with company expectations. Maximize long term profitability by creating superior value for customers while consuming fewer resources and always acting with integrity.
- Produce and maintain work schedules
- Maintains food production that ensures the safety and quality of food according to policies, procedures and company requirements.
- Ensure that food and chemicals are stored safe, organized and in a hazard free environment
- Train and mentor staff
- Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
- Maintain accurate inventory on a weekly/monthly basis
- Prepare orders as needed per vendors to ensure accurate production
- May perform cashier duties as required
- Maintain communication with staff (central office, phone, email, virtual meetings etc.)
- Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, co-workers, etc.
- Adheres to Fleetway Market safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
- Ensures security of company assets
- Supervise and evaluate employees: promote employee growth, efficiency, morale, engagement and teamwork
- Other duties and tasks as assigned by Food and Beverage Director
Requirements:
- Experience in food service management or in a related role required
Must demonstrate integrity
- Proven knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage
- Must be able to obtain food safety certification
- Demonstrates basic math and counting skills
- Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 25 lbs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- ServSafe Certified
- 3-5 years or more related, customer service and support experience and/or training
- Ideally, experience in directing and mentoring others
