What does a Tool Designer do?
- Design new and modify existing tooling, fixtures and gauges for customers as required to their standards by analyzing specifications from CAD design stage through tool implementation.
- Design and make new tooling and parts for customers to improve efficiency.
- Monitor condition of all tooling and repair or fabricate new if necessary.
- Read drawings and machine parts to print including set-up of tooling through sample and parts generation and make modifications as needed.
- Interface with various production departments as well as engineering.
- Ensure safety of self and others in tooling department.
Comply with organization’s Safety Policy, health practices and procedures
Compensation: 30.00 BOE
Shift: 1st 7:00 am – 4:30 pm M-F OT and Saturdays required based on production need

- Must be able to walk, stand, and work at a fast pace for 8 hours or more

- Must be able to move throughout the manufacturing facility
- Must be able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English with team members and management
- Must be able to respond to audio prompts
Basic Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to work effectively with a team as well as independently
- Knowledge of tool and die design, CAD software usage and fabrication machining processes
- Associates or bachelor’s degree or certificate in an engineering, manufacturing related field.
- Working knowledge of CNC programming, tools
