What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator (Construction Distributor), Hicksville, NY, Permanent position at FlexStaff?
We are looking for an Estimator to work for one of our clients a full-service construction distributor located in Hicksville, NY. This is a permanent, full-time job, 100% working on-site.
In this role you will be responsible for preparing and coordinating the preparation of full estimates on projects as required by clients’ documents and provides complete conceptual and total bid price.
The ideal candidate would have minimum at least 3 years of experience as an Estimator or a Construction Project Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate, budget, prepare and analyze bids for large scale commercial interiors or high-rise core & shell projects
- Prepare quantity take-offs and estimates on various projects
- Interface with clients, owner's representatives, account executives, manufacturers and contractors
- Review quotes and estimates with the Project Management team
- Develop spreadsheets in MS Excel and prepare bid documents utilizing MS Word and our custom software
- Provide other services such as change order pricing, attending pre-bid conferences and site visits
- Other responsibilities as assigned

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
