Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Summer, we’re looking to add a Human Resources Intern located in our Buffalo Grove, IL site. Reporting to the HR Business Partner, the student will assist with solving complex problems and generating new ideas for a global organization; while utilizing creativity and innovation to develop entrepreneurial skills. The HR Intern will be involved in projects which matter to the business and help achieve company goals. What a typical day looks like: Advises site management in personnel policy and program matters, making or recommending appropriate decisions. Assists with updating changes to processes improvements, programs, policies/procedures and responding to related inquiries. Keeps up-to-date on current human resource and labor market trends, new technology programs and applications. Prepares HR related reports as requested by Business Unit Managers. Plans and conducts new employee orientation. Assist with employee separation notices documentation, exit interviews and collecting company equipment. Student qualities we’re seeking for this internship assignment: Senior/Junior level student working towards HR-related major: Human Resources Management, Communications, Business Administration/Management, Psychology, etc. Enthusiastic about working in the HR field Highly collaborative, creative and excellent communication skills Previous internship experience working with Focus Groups, Employee Engagement and Job Analysis work a plus! Internship Program Requirements: Available to work 40 hours/week (on-site) for 10-12 week Summer assignment starting on June 5th Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university 3.0 minimum GPA Job Category Intern Relocation: Not eligible Is Sponsorship Available?
