Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Simulation Engineer located in Suzhou/Shanghai. What a typical day looks like: Thermal simulation for cutting edge automotive components, such as domain controller, central computing module, DC-DC converter, inverters etc Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulation for mechanical strength, drop, mechanical shock etc Co-work with team to improve cooling and mechanical design The experience we’re looking to add to our team: Proficient in thermal simulation software tools, like ANSYS Icepak, Flortherm Proficient in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulation with software tools, like ANSYS Mechanical or Hyperworks or Abaqus or Sherlock. Familiar with various materials property (cast metal, stamped metal, thermal interface material, plastics, etc.) Knowledge of product mechanical design and development on automotive product Solid experience in both air and liquid cooling Lab capabilities including temperature measurements, flow measurements, using thermal chambers Bachelor/above degree on Thermal or Mechanical Engineering related area Good command of read & write English, worked in English environment 10 years thermal design and finite element analysis experience 15 projects thermal design or FEA experience Experience with high thermal design power, high density, size constrained Preferably working experience in automotive industry What you’ll receive for the great work you provide: Social Insurance Life Insurance PTO Job Category Production Engineering Required Skills: Optional Skills: Flex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
