Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Test Engineer located in Milpitas, CA. Reporting to the Test Engineering Manager, the Structural Test Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems, software, and/or equipment. What a typical day looks like: Directs and coordinates Structural engineering (SPI, AOI, AXI) activities concerned with development, procurement, installation and calibration of instruments, equipment and control devices required to test, and record test data. Analyzes and interprets test data and prepares technical reports for use by customer, engineer, and management. Trains and instructs floor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as problem solving techniques. Resolves test yield problems by performing analysis of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements. Create and maintain process/test documentation. This position focus on AXI (Automatic X-ray Inspection) Testing: Responsible for AXI equipment in Flex Milpitas. This include Keysight 5DX, Vitrox V810, Omron VT and Dage 2D X-ray equipment. Job include direct a team of AXI engineering technicians to generate the production test program and provide hardware support. Familiar with AXI test program development process. Knowledge of hardware diagnostics and problem solving technique. Work with vendor on equipment PM and hardware repair. Work with quality team to minimize test false calls and eliminate defects escape. Performs testability analysis (DFT). The experience we’re looking to add to our team: Bachelor’s degree in engineering related field or equivalent experience and training. 2 years of experience in test engineering in the high technology electronics industry or related area.
