Flight Schedule Pro is seeking an intellectually curious individual with the drive and desire to impact a start-up company. This person will be responsible for the strategic human resource planning to provide the company with the best talent available and to position the company as the Employer of Choice by staying aware of policies, practices, and trends within the technology industry. Job Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders to implement and support the company's policies, practices, and programs to ensure we are an Employer of Choice.
- Build and manage the HR team and lead the team in creating an inviting and cohesive employee experience.
- Implement HR policies and programs including employee relations, recruiting, wage and salary administration, benefits, and management training to find and retain talent.
- Understand conditions, trends, and competitive threats in the business and use vision to develop and implement new strategies to address competitive, complex, current, and future business issues.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to guide business decisions and provide perspective on people-related decisions.
- Work closely with management to improve employee work relationships, engagement, retention, and performance.
- Monitor the effectiveness of recruitment and staffing programs for the assigned business units by establishing and maintaining KPIs.
- Provide input and guidance in the development and improvement of talent acquisition tools and processes.
- Identify staffing issues and lead internal recruiting resources to address these issues with focused solutions.
- Provide guidance and input on long-term company goals, structure, and succession planning.
- Partner with managers to identify leadership development needs and research and recommend solutions to improve the capability of managers to lead and manage their employees to achieve desired outcomes.
- Support managers with the development of employee performance improvement plans and career development plans through effective coaching, mentoring, and training activities.
- Support the executive team with the identification and development of employees for key leadership and management positions through the implementation of succession planning.
- Develop and deliver employee satisfaction and retention initiatives designed to ensure the company continues to be admired.
- Refine performance management systems, training, and processes to continually improve upon the foundation to ensure scalability as the company grows.
- Guide managers and employees in resolving employee relations issues by providing effective conflict resolution and coaching to turn employee behavior around.
- Identify and conduct training programs internally for employees on a quarterly basis.
- Maintain relationships with vendors, benefits providers, consultants, and other constituents where appropriate.
- Oversee benefit programs and ensure the company provides employee benefit support and leave processing, including FMLA, STD, and Workers' Comp.
- With the collaboration of the CFO, develop and manage annual budgets for the department and perform periodic cost and productivity analyses.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Maintain an effective level of business literacy, including company goals, mission, financial position, strategy, competition, technology, and culture.
- Act as the company information liaison to ensure communication effectively flows in all directions.
- Participate on committees and special projects and seek additional responsibilities.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university required.
- At least 5 years in a successful senior management role in Human Resources reporting to the CEO or CFO
- At least ten (10) years of Human Resources experience at a generalist level.
- SPHR/PHR certification desired. GPHR certification is a plus.
- Demonstrated skills in Project Management. Manages other managers
- Able to manage a dispersed organization
- Expertise in internal communications
- Advanced Microsoft computer skills and knowledge of office software packages, including Quick books
