What You Will Do
As an Inspection Lead, you will provide co-leadership for the inspection department providing oversight of mechanical integrity programs and working closely with Team Based Maintenance to assure execution of MI (Mechanical Integrity) recommendations. Key responsibilities include management of the Fixed Equipment MI program and making effective fixed equipment business decisions. This includes:
- Effective Fixed Equipment Mechanical Integrity Program ownership
- Corrosion monitoring of fixed equipment and piping
- Data analytics/file review
- Execution of fixed equipment and piping recommendations
- Quality assurance of projects and maintenance
- Managing and developing a team of about 12 FHR employees and contractors
- Able to travel up to 10%
- Confined Space Entry and climbing ladders.
- Some overtime may be required, including nights, weekends, and holidays during turnarounds and outages.
- Management of the Fixed Equipment MI Program is critical to PSM, EHS, compliance, and the reduction of unplanned events.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- 5 years' experience working in an Inspection, Engineering, Maintenance, or Reliability role related to fixed equipment (vessels, piping, and exchangers) in one of the following industries: refining, petrochemicals, or manufacturing.
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of this role as listed in key responsibilities
What Will Put You Ahead
- API 510, 570, and 653 certifications
- 10 years' experience as an inspector in the refining or petrochemical industry
- Supervisory experience
- Experience managing fixed equipment program utilizing API Risk Based Inspection standards or guidelines
- Knowledgeable in refinery fixed equipment standards, codes, welding, inspection techniques, and damage mechanisms
- Knowledge and experience in applying ASME and API codes and recommended practice
- Bachelor of Science in a technical field
- Experience using Meridium/APM or similar inspection management or corrosion monitoring software
This role is subject to the Transportation Workers Identification Credentialing (TWIC) rule and requires the successful candidate to obtain a TWIC identification badge, allowing for unescorted access to the facility within a specific time period.
