Summary
A Delivery Route Driver drives a company van/truck to deliver and unload paint and paint-related products to different locations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Drives van or truck to deliver such items as paint and paint-related products to customer's place of business.
- Records transactions on customer receipt.
- Records delivery information on daily sales or delivery record.
- Collects or picks up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise.
- Loads and unloads truck.
- Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
- Cleans inside of truck.
- Ensures routine maintenance is performed on truck.
- Completes mileage log and maintenance log on truck.
- Repetitive lifting of weights of 50 lbs. and occasional lifting of weights of over 70 lbs.
- When not making deliveries, assist store manager with any duties that may be assigned, which include, but are not limited to: assisting customers, re-stocking inventory, tinting of paint, cleaning etc.
- Other miscellaneous tasks, as required.

Education & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- 1 - 2 years' driving experience
- Must have a valid Driver's License and good driving record
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Florida Paints is a Drug Free Workplace, therefore, applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test. Employees are also subject to random drug testing.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 to 75 pounds
- Frequent bending as well as sitting
- Good vision is required
- Note: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
