Fluor, together with its joint-venture partner AECOM, has been awarded a four-year program delivery support services contract for the California High-Speed Rail program by the California High-Speed Rail Authority, to provide program delivery and program management services to support one of the largest planned infrastructure projects in the U.S.
The system will connect the 500-mile stretch between the Los Angeles region with the San Francisco Bay Area, with up to 24 stations. The first phase of the program is currently under construction in California’s Central Valley.
This position manages all Project Document & Data Management (PDDM) functions for assigned projects.
This role provides supervision, direction, and training to Coordinators, Supervisors, and Managers (on and off-site). Having a full understanding of all Project Document & Data Management (PDDM) functional roles, this position should be able to perform them or teach others in an efficient manner while maintaining effective communication with Project Client, internal taskforce members, field personnel, and Fluor global team members. This position requires acute knowledge and experience in understanding and interpreting client standards, the consistent exercise of discretion and independent judgment with the respect to matters of significance. This position may act on behalf of an absent lead or be expected to lead simultaneous multiple smaller scopes or lead a mega project.
• Manage all aspects of a project life-cycle including scope definition, developing a detailed plan, tracking, managing, and communicating project status
• Collaborate with other functions relative to all aspects of Project Document & Data Management
• Participate in the preparation of the annual departmental budget including the development of effort hour estimates and the associated staffing plan, and adherence to budget
• Responsible for effort hours and staff planning for various projects
• May be required to give presentations to clients, projects, or management
• May act as the global representative for the location
• Other duties as assigned• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eleven (11) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to fifteen (15) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner• Thorough, working knowledge of and experience with computers and specialized software programs such as electronic document management systems, relational databases, and internet based project collaboration systems
• Excellent adaptability to change, to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Excellent knowledge and experience in understanding and interpreting Client specifications
• Ability to be responsible for internal and external customer document management activities
• Ability to interview new candidates for positions on their assigned project
Salary : $79,500 - $138,000
