What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor Site Maintenance Mechanical position at Fluor Federal Petroleum Operations?
Assign and oversee corrective maintenance i.e., welding, pipeline systems, grounds and building maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and functional testing of all site mechanical systems, and equipment such as pumps, motors, valves, piping, site support equipment, and vehicles as authorized under Level of Repair (LOR) for Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) equipment. Assures that safety and environmental rules and regulations are being followed, and obtains clearance permits; e.g., safe work, hot work, confined space, lockout/tagout, when required. Ensures proper and timely preparation of all required work related documentation. Assign and oversee preventive/predictive maintenance on all site mechanical systems, pipeline systems, support equipment and general grounds and buildings following approved procedures. Ensures proper and timely preparation of all required work related documentation. Provide first line supervision to contract painters and grass cutters. Interface regularly with site functional managers to provide support as needed through meetings, phone calls or e-mail. Assists subcontractors in performance of preventive and corrective maintenance following approved procedures. Ensures proper and timely preparation of all required work related documentation. Provides oversight, performs inspections, and evaluates maintenance related problems. Ensures proper and timely preparation of all related documentation. Prepare and conduct employee evaluations. Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Assoc Degree and 5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial/petrochemical plant OR HS diploma/GED and 7 years of experience. A minimum of 1 year in a lead maintenance position Candidate needs to have knowledge on how to diagnosis and maintain rotating equipment (pumps and motors), valves (2” to 48”) and actuators (EIM and Rotork). Must understand how to troubleshoot and correct faults such as misalignment, unbalance, soft-footing, resonance, bearing failures and belt or coupling drive problems. This position requires that the incumbent maintain a security clearance. DESIRED SKILLS: Journeyman craftsman certification. Three years’ supervisory experience
