What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trainer position at FMLS?
The Trainer position delivers all membership training services related to FMLS products. This includes conducting Continuing Education (CE) courses for the FMLS Institute as well as all other training offerings as needed, primarily through Zoom. Responsible for maintaining the FMLS online Knowledge Base by writing new and editing old articles and screen updates as needed. Serves as a backup to the Institute Coordinator’s duties and as a backup to Member Service Representatives by conducting in the field on-site courses, Q & As, and private classes as requested.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct training classes and workshops for FMLS members and partners on all FMLS products and proctor online training as needed.
· Collect feedback from students to recommend edits to training documentation and promotional pieces.
· Maintain up-to-date, correct, and accurate training records, such as trainee lists, schedules, attendance sheets, and so on for online learning options.
· Write steps, capture screens, format instructional materials as assigned for Knowledge Base articles.
· Responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and modifying existing entries, while also
· Recommending changes to materials that enhance effectiveness.
· Update standard PowerPoint decks for fellow Trainers and MSRs as products change.
· Maintain product knowledge with upgrades, releases, and bugs.
· Perform product testing, online course testing, and evaluations of software and training materials as requested.
· Serve as backup to Institute Administrator’s duties to include processing credits, answering phone, handling training email, and assisting with student questions.
· Serve as backup for Member Service Representatives by handling board functions, tradeshows, conducting field and on-site courses, Q & As, and private classes as requested.
· Represent the company at member functions and conferences on an as needed basis.
· Provide ideas and content for external newsletter, social media, and marketing as necessary.
· Attend Train the Trainer and lead Train the Trainer sessions as needed.-
Other Essential Job Functions & Skills:
· Participates in overall department meetings and decisions.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Job requirements:
· CDEI Certificate for Arello approved courses.
· A minimum of two years of proven work experience in training, facilitation, learning and development, or in a similar role either professionally or through an internship.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), screen capture, editing programs, and various online applications.
· A Bachelor of Science in education, communications, or a related field is preferred.
