FNIC is looking for a detail-orientated, creative, and collaborative Technical Trainer with a growth mindset to join our team! As a Technical Trainer, you will be responsible for maintaining the procedures and workflows that are vital to each of our business units along with ensuring that our training programs set our new employees up for success in their roles! 


What’s the work like?

You will...

  • Identify the training needs, development, and preparation of content and materials.
  • Ensures messages and terminology is consistent across all written materials 
  • Understands the employee’s view of applications and /or technology and is able to put procedures in a logical sequence
  • Conduct one-on-one, group, and on-the-job training as necessary to ensure training needs are being met for all employees
  • Develop and conduct assessments of learning to verify understanding of knowledge and training effectiveness
  • Identify and fulfill training needs to improve employee’s performance
  • Assist with new hire orientation, identify and communicate process capabilities, and facilitate effective communication among management and employees
  • Support development and implementation of standardized training and work processes
  • Support maintenance of the learning management system, including but not limited to assigning e-learning or in-person, giving credit for training completed, running reports, etc. 
  • Provide feedback to supervisors on training-related issues.
  • Works with management and departments to continuously improve the content, activities, and delivery of training
  • Maintain the integrity of training materials and systems
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

What do I need to know?

You have to have…

  • Resident Property and Casualty Agent's license
  • 5 years P&C insurance experience or 3 years commercial insurance experience and a CIC or CPCU designation
  • 2 years experience in a mentorship, leadership, or training role 
  • Experience with AMS360 or Sagitta/ImageRight preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups and individuals through strong written, speaking, and listening skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation, presentation, and listening skills required
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in agency systems including Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel), and all agency automation software
  • Proficient in writing department workflows and procedures
  • Change-ready, flexible, and adaptable, seek progress over perfection
  • Troubleshooting skills (equipment, computer systems, etc.)
  • Ability to conform with and abide by all workplace policies, work procedures, and instructions
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with company employees and external contacts
  • Strong respect for confidentiality
  • Regular and consistent attendance
