We are looking for individuals with scenic painting skills. A minimum of 2 years experience is required. Need to have an excellent knowledge of scenic painting techniques, faux finishes and texturing and/or large-scale prop-making/artworks and finishing.
Developing paintings and colour samples in accordance with a design concept - Painting, spraying, texturing and distressing scenery and/or carving, in accordance with the requirements of the creative team.
Position Summary: Full-time opportunity. Candidate will work in a shop that carves and sculpts props and displays out of foam blocks and builds themed environments. Candidate needs to be motivated, a hard worker, able to understand and read drawings and take directions. Needs to work quickly and efficiently to get projects completed on time.
Essential Job Functions
- Paint props and displays
- Performs related work as assigned.
- Work in a productive and efficient manner.
- Maintain equipment and make necessary repairs when needed.
- Works from verbal instructions and sketches.
- Other duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 2 year
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Ability to understand and carry out detailed, technical instructions.
- Ability to maintain records and drawings relative to the work.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with customers as well as other department personnel.
- Able to lift 50-75 lbs.
- Clean driving record
- Ability to communicate effectively.
