Foam Packaging is a small business located in Grand Prairie Texas, that deals in styrofoam fabrication for a variety of industries including construction, design, packaging, and more.

Job Description

We are looking for a lead sales representative for a small manufacturing company that is able to maintain our current customer base while also expanding the business. Sales will be made primarily within the DFW area, however we are open to expansion of the territory.

Primary tasks will include:

  • Produce new business, expand existing business.
  • Remain visible in the business community and in the marketplace in which FOAM PACKAGING operates and provide a positive and professional image for the company.
  • Maintain an accurate and up to date customer account list with detailed information.
  • Expand service and customers throughout the year.
  • Ensure that all company transactions are conducted in an ethical, efficient, and prudent manner.
  • Be able to travel in a proper manner to visit customers in their offices in an efficient and timely manner and in a way that will not reflect adversely on the Company.
  • Settle all customer complaints at this level and seeks guidance of the Managing Owner.
  • Maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance appropriate for the position and situation in which the Salesperson may be involved.
  • Keep updated on the events in the industry and marketplace in order to take advantage of new changes.
  • Follow all instructions (written and verbal) given by the Managing Owner.
  • Remain in constant contact with established customers to ensure their satisfaction with the products and Company’s services.
  • Maintain or exceed the assigned level of sales volume and profit margin.
  • Coordinate sales and quotes with customers, production, and office personnel.
  • Develop systems or procedures for following through on leads, contacts, and commitments.
  • Develop systems and procedures for assuring 100% follow-up on customers and a system to report to management.
  • Complete and submit all reports required and requested in a complete and timely manner, including weekly office reports.
  • Ensure the acquisition of potential customers by appropriate means including, but not limited to, phone calls, direct mail, advertising, promotions, referrals, and direct sales calls.
  • Ensure that an accurate recording system is maintained on all proposals submitted to customers.
  • Follow the proper implementation of normal operating procedures.
  • Help develop and implement effective and efficient sales and marketing programs with the concurrence of the Managing Owner.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all required paperwork submitted for quotes.
  • Keep informed on competitors selling policies, tactics, services, and prices offered.
  • Ensure credit has been approved by Managing owner or Office Manager.
  • Follow up on delinquent accounts and collect receivables.
  • All other duties and tasks as may be directed from time to time by the Managing Owner.

MEASUREMENTS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • An average gross profit [to be discussed]
  • Sales growth per month
  • New customers are being developed and are providing profitable sales
  • Sales to existing customers have been expanded
  • Paperwork is up to date
  • Activity report is reviewed with the Managing Owner each week
  • Customers’ payments are current or payments have been arranged and approved by the Managing Owner

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year

COVID-19 considerations:
We have taken actions to keep our employees safe including requiring employees and customers to wear masks in the building, reducing the amount of traffic in the building, and providing ample opportunities to sanitize in the building.

Qualifications

-at least 5 years experience in outside sales

-excellent written and verbal communication skills

-proficiency in G-Suite

-organized and detail oriented

-experience in the construction field preferred but not required

-self motivated
