We currently have a client in Plains, MT looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)!
Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) who is highly motivated and energetic. Candidates must be willing to support a friendly, positive and professional environment.
Contract Assignment ? 13 Weeks (Temporary)
Shift: 5x8 Days

Requirements:
- Must maintain valid state physical therapist assistant license.
- Must possess basic computer skills; intermediate skills preferred.
- Must possess therapy services knowledge, leadership and delegation skills and experience.
- Must pass company required drug screen and physical and background screening.
- Must maintain a valid drivers license and have the ability to travel to company locations.
- High School Diploma or Equivalency is required. Prefer medical background such as MA or LPN.

Responsibilities:
- Physical Therapist Assistant provides quality therapy services by assisting the Physical Therapist with the treatment of patients in order to restore them to their prior level of function.
- The Physical Therapist Assistant also must follow required guidelines.
- Individually designed programs of physical treatment are carried out to maintain, improve or restore physical function and alleviate pain in patients; appropriate and timely documentation of patient`s prognosis, treatment, goals, and response; education to stay informed on treatments and techniques to benefit the patient; establish and maintain channels of communication with nursing team and therapist.
- Assist with appropriate interventions (such as oxygen therapy via standing order) as necessary for patient safety.
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and standards regarding safety and infection control issues.
- Perform routine equipment care and maintenance and inventory evaluation.
- Maintain current CPR or BCLS certification.
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide age specific care in the treatment, assessment, and education of patients.
- Demonstrate appropriate social skills including effective verbal and written communication.
- Demonstrate ability to follow direction.
- Respond to study participant`s procedural-related inquiries by providing appropriate information.
