The Company:
Foley Entertainment Group (FEG) operates the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights, an American Hockey League (AHL) team named the Henderson Silver Knights, an Indoor Football League (IFL) team named the Vegas Knight Hawks, and the NBA G League Ignite. FEG also owns/operates the practice facility for the Golden Knights named City National Arena, the practice facility for the Silver Knights named America First Center in Henderson, and a 6,000-seat arena named The Dollar Loan Center.

At FEG, we pride ourselves on a consultative, collaborative, innovative approach to corporate partnerships. The Director of Franchise Properties will be responsible for driving revenue for our minor league teams and venues (Silver Knights, Knight Hawks, and NBA G League Ignite, The Dollar Loan Center, and America First Center in Henderson) by developing creative partnerships with local, regional, and national companies and building strong long-term relationships with those brands. This person will also manage a team of 2-5 linemates that are focused on selling and servicing partners of our franchise properties.

The Director, Franchise Properties will be responsible for prospecting, negotiating, and ultimately closing new sponsorship deals across our minor league teams and venues. This person will also manage a small team, and assist in managing relationships with existing sponsors, and other duties as assigned. The position will be based in the Henderson/Las Vegas, NV area and report to the SVP, Global Partnerships.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Pitch and close new business for FEG-owned/operated minor league teams and properties.
- Utilize a solution-based sales approach by conducting meetings & research to understand each company’s business and industry and objectives and create creative solution-based packages.
- Coordinate internal brainstorming meetings with Company colleagues to develop innovative assets and ideas for sponsors, as needed.
- Maintain accurate and ongoing sponsorship revenue reports for all Franchise Properties: Henderson Silver Knights/Vegas Knight Hawks/NBA G League Ignite (and other teams if additional teams at The Dollar Loan Center are owned or managed by the Company in the future)
- Manage the Franchise Properties Partnerships Sales Team (and Activation if needed).
- Work with SVP, Global Partnerships and VP, Global Partnership Sales & Strategy to develop and maintain up-to-date sponsorship sales decks, rate cards, and other sales resources and collateral for Franchise Properties.
- Bring new and compelling ideas to existing partners whenever possible (upsell opportunities).
- In conjunction with the Activation Team, ensure contractual sponsorship elements (gameday and non-gameday assets) are fulfilled/executed properly for existing partners.
- Attend most Henderson Silver Knights/Vegas Knight Hawks/NBA G League Ignite home games, and select other events at The Dollar Loan Center to develop relationships with company decision makers, and ensure that gameday assets are fulfilled properly.
- Attend community events/networking events on behalf of the Company.
- Take lead in developing and managing a strategic plan for all expiring renewal accounts.
- Assist SVP, Partnerships with other duties as needed.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships and communication between the Partnerships department and other Company departments such as Community Relations, Ticketing, Game Entertainment, Legal, Communications & Content, Hockey/Football/Basketball Operations, Arena Operations, etc.
- Compliance with all policies and work rules of the Company; and
- Other duties as assigned from time to time
Key Competencies and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of sales/revenue experience (preferably in sports).
- Minimum of one year of managing at least one person.
- Hunger/willingness to learn with a high motor.
- Experience/connections in the Las Vegas market preferred, but not required.
- Experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Must have a flexible work schedule in order to work special event responsibilities throughout the year: weekends, nights and holidays as dictated by games/events.
- Team player with a no-ego, ‘we’ not ‘me’ approach.
- High level of integrity, and ability to uphold the organization’s “Knights Code” (rules of conduct).
- Experience and comfort in developing high-level relationships with key corporate decision-makers.
- Willing and able to think beyond the status quo and take risks.
Schedule Overview:
- Candidate is expected to attend all Vegas Golden Knights home games, as well as occasional Henderson Silver Knights, NBA G League Ignite & Vegas Knight Hawks home games and work nights, weekends and holidays as assigned.
