What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Coordinator- Economic Support position at Fond du Lac County?
The purpose of the Child Care Coordinator position is to provide support the Child Care Work Group members and to act as a liaison between State and agency as required by the Department of Children and Families.
- Take a lead role in coaching and mentoring new members of the child care workgroup
- Communicate with trainers regarding trainee’s progress
- Follow up with workers regarding Child Care training issues; keep trainers and supervisors informed of potential ongoing training issues
- Provide expertise to new and ongoing workers for complex cases
- Complete a minimum of two Quality Control case review and call center observations on each Child Care worker’s casework per calendar year
- Provide input to Child Care worker’s annual Performance Evaluations
- Keep up to date with all Child Care policy changes such as those transmitted via handbook releases, Operations and Administrative Memos, Wisconsin DCF updates
- Participate in monthly unit meetings and conduct own workgroup meetings as necessary to disseminate changes, updates, reminders in the Child Care program to all Child Care workgroup staff
- Act as liaison between Fond du Lac County Child Care staff and state Child Care Help Desk
- Compile and provide any reports and or data as necessary or directed
- Contribute to annual Child Care Fraud Plan
- Contribute to Child Care Subsidy Reviews and Child Care Certification Reviews
- Complete annual Data Verification Request (FA Resources) from Well Badger Resource Center
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Child Care Providers located in Fond du Lac County
- Complete and maintain Child Care Provider certifications
- Maintain Child Care Provider information in CSAW
- Educate providers and clients on the MyWIChildCare EBT card regarding child care benefits and subsidy payments
- Complete or assign CSAW dashboard tasks (provider alerts, parent portal alerts)
- Participate in the Moraine Lakes Consortium Child Care workgroup
- Attend CCPC meetings
- Process Inclusive Birth to Three referrals and authorization requests
- Participate in policy and technical workgroups upon request
- Advanced Child Care skills and high degree of program knowledge
- Leadership ability
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and work independently
