Position Summary
This position supports all employees of the Food Bank of Delaware in the delivery of all human capital-related programs and initiatives. This role also serves as an administrative partner to the Director in the day-to-day operations of the people function of the organization.
What You’ll Do
· Oversees and coordinates all organization benefits (inclusive of leaves of absence), compensation and recruiting activities in partnership with the Director.
· Maintains all employee personnel files; utilizes strong organizational skills to ensure compliance in all areas impacting the organization’s staff.
· Interfaces with the Finance department to ensure the timely and accurate input of employee changes for payroll.
· Serve as the first responder for all day-to-day HR-related inquiries from staff and escalate as needed to ensure effective and timely resolution to concerns.
· Serves as point person and holds accountability for the accuracy of employee records primarily via the supervision of the HRIS/ADP systems. Monitors personnel file compliance.
· Support the performance management process.
· Plan, coordinate and present (in partnership with the Director) new employee orientation activities.
· Acts as applicant tracking administrator
· Manages pre-employment logistics and communications.
What You’ll Need
· Three to five years of experience in human resources, ideally at a Coordinator or Generalist level.
· Ability to work in a fast paced environment
· Excellent written and oral communication skills; comfort and ability to present before a group audience.
· Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Excellent attention to detail is required.
· Solid general knowledge of commonly-accepted human resources practices with exposure to labor law, employment regulations and statutory benefits knowledge.
· Strong computer abilities with ideally two-plus years of experience managing human resources information systems. ADP Workforce experience strongly preferred. Strong ability and competency in the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
· Possess a general familiarity with labor law, benefits and leave as well as payroll practices.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
