Our client, a global leader in the supply of chemical raw materials requires an experienced chemical industry sales professional. The successful candidate will manage sales activities of ingredients, additives and chemical raw materials for personal care product formulations in a greater Chicago area territory. This is a home office based position within the sales territory.
Responsibilities
- Grow revenue and profit from an existing base of business while generating new leads and closing new sales of ingredients, additives and specialty chemical raw materials used to manufacture personal care products.
- Develop successful relationships across multiple levels in the customer's organization with an emphasis on R&D and formulation scientists.
- Manage all pricing, sales agreements and contracts.
- Create sales reports and manage all customer information via the CRM system.
- Develop account plans and coordinate sales activities with other company team members and management.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree; Chemistry or related science major preferred.
- At least 3 years experience selling chemical raw materials and ingredients to manufacturers of personal care products.
- Demonstrated success in identifying and closing target accounts.
- Strong interpersonal skills in addition to excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory as required.
