Job Posting for Summer Eats Food Service Worker at Food Services
The Food Service Department will be sponsoring Spencer and East Brookfield Summer Eats Program . The goal of the program is to provide nutritious meals to children 0-18 throughout 6 open sites within our district. The program will operate Monday through Thursday with the exception of July 4, 2024.
6 hours a day, Monday through Thursday (may vary depending upon the site, and the number of people assigned).
This position is required to work the duration of the Summer Program; as needed.
Mandatory training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
Individuals selected for these positions will be responsible for:
-Serving and accounting for meals given to children
-Assists with record keeping.
-Ensures the health and safety of students and personnel by instructions in adherence to The Massachusetts Sanitary Code
-Maintaining a clean site at all times
-Willingness to travels to meal sites to serve breakfast and lunch
-Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
-Accurate record keeping; attention to detail
In addition, some individuals may be assigned to prepare and serve hot food in selected sites. All individuals hired are required to attend a mandatory training session.
