Job Description
Summary
The ideal candidate is analytical, a people person with excellent communication skills, and possesses the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Additionally, this individual should be extremely organized with superior problem-solving skills, and a willingness to assist at all levels.
Essential Functions (Responsibilities of the role)
- Provide Select Reports to the Sales Team
- Navision / Microsoft Dynamics-based reporting
- Gather specific Foodservice distributor reports either as assigned by supervisor (monthly/quarterly)
SALES CRM MANAGEMENT
- Act as the primary point-person for the Foodservice team ensuring valid, current, and cohesive information is consistently entered and updated in our sales CRM platform
- Maintain the CRM for all channels (i.e. product catalog, field updates, etc.)
- Assist the Foodservice sales team, when needed, to enter information or troubleshoot issues
- Run reports (Smart List) specifically for the Foodservice team
SALES SUPPORT
- Primary point person with Costing Department for entire sales team for custom pricing request
- Provide price quotes primarily for the Foodservice team off the pricing template
- Facilitate and help with the completion of RFPs: manage the collection of data from different departments, organize and complete the documentation, and submit according to deadline
- Submit sample requests in the FOODMatch portal
- Coordinate when needed with Engagement Marketing Manager and help plan National Sales Meetings, Annual Directors Summit, and Summer & Winter Fancy Food Shows
- Qualify and input in the CRM all leads generated through trade shows, events, and direct inquiries
- Provide information for broker/customer reviews
- Provide fulfillment reports for specific customers and/or time frames
- Provide support across all channels when needed
Additional Duties:
- Research special projects
- Support the President and SVP with tasks when needed
- When needed, aid Samples and Marketing teams during high volume sales request
- Assist meeting set up and preparation within the NY Office
- Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Background Requirements (Education, years of experience, industry/role experience, etc.)
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or related field preferred
- 2 years’ analyst experience and or customer service experience preferred
- Previous use of a CRM and order tooling skills (Navision) preferred
- Experience in the food industry or knowledge of the FOODMatch product line is preferred but not required
Skill & Ability Requirements (Technical and soft skills, industry/field knowledge, personality traits, etc.)
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and analytical skills – written and verbal
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work across departments
Additional Information
Location/Travel Requirements
- This role requires minimal travel (<10%)
- Hybrid Schedule (In office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday / Remote: Wednesday, Friday)
