What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Manager position at Footprints Floors?
Footprints Floors is looking for a Field Manager. The ideal candidate is organized, has calm temper and understands home improvement projects.
Duties are as follows:
Manage job sites where crews will be working on flooring. Our crews are proficient in hardwood, tile, LVP, LVT and laminate installation. The field manager should:
· Visit each job site at least once per day and make sure jobs are going well.
· Make sure everything in the work order is being completed; stain samples, correct stain and finish, timeline, etc.
· Account for correct materials and job measurements as needed.
· Deliver extra material and/ or collect left over material as needed.
· Perform moisture test as needed.
· Fix all problems within skill level, if they can be completed in “5 minutes”.
· Report any problems above and beyond expertise to direct supervisor.
Communication with homeowner:
· Set expectations and guidelines for project, and provide timeline updates.
· Communicate with customer at least once a day to address all questions, concerns and scheduling.
· Communicate about care taking, seasonal gapping, and other important floor information.
· Email direct supervisor about Work Order changes.
Collecting payment:
· Inform homeowner early about final payment at project completion.
· Deposit checks ASAP to nearest bank with correct account information.
· If anything needs to be fixed after project completion, communicate with original crew to do it.

- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Construction Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Project Management: 1 year (Preferred)
