What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales/Product Manager - Industrial position at FORBO SIEGLING LLC?
Responsible for calling on Distributor, OEM & End User accounts. To generate sales of plastic modular (Prolink) and positive Drive (Fullseal/Fullsan) belting product lines and assist sales representatives. In addition will assist in the development and implementation of a regional sales strategy to cover active accounts and a focus on developing new growth opportunities.
To enhance Forbo Siegling’s position within the marketplace. Ability to play key role in contract management. This position is expected to play a vital role in both sustaining and building the business with major accounts as well as working closely with our internal team to develop and present customized solutions that drive sales and channel performance, create customer loyalty and strengthen current and potential relationships
- Provide technical and commercial support to ensure product health in the Americas
- Analyze and propose required product assortment for Americas and support supply chain with defining standard stocking assortment and quantity based on evaluation of sales forecasts
- Consolidate pricing know how and support maintenance of global price list for Prolink
- Support Prolink marketing activities and review and update technical literature (e.g. Prolink Engineering Manual "PEM")
Tasks and duties Sales Support:
· Strengthen technical sales support based on market, product and application; advise in case of more complex applications
· Drive sales increase by supporting the local Americas sales entities including on-site customer visits and training (external and internal)
· Define sales opportunities/prospects with local entities and coordinate action plans with local experts/sales
· Ensure sharing of success stories to enable sales entities to benefit from successes globally
· Propose inventory profile for new products/systems
· Identify and monitor competitors’ regarding presence, assortment, prices, pricing model, service setup etc.
· Support Business Development on creating business cases (LCP’s) for request for new products
· Conduct product trainings for sales and fabrication centers
· Support Marketing in developing sales tools ensuring we promote market relevant features and benefits this include managing and develop the Prolink Engineering Manual (PEM)
· Drive development and improve sales support tools such as engineering program, belt configurator, belt finder, etc.
· Monitor market prices for AA and evaluate national/regional variations and dependencies on sales channels and support price maintenance in SAP
· Evaluate special pricing requests and established data to support such decisions
· Monitor market trends and new products from competitors and share such market intelligence with R&D and Business Development
· Support R&D and Business Development on new development project with market relevant feedback to new products including peer group or specific customer presentation and collect feedback
· Troubleshooting, claim resolution, and failure analysis
