Data Business Analyst

The Data Business Analyst reports to the Global Customer Service Data Services Manager to conduct basic data analysis, reporting to customers, and participation in special projects being conducted by the Global Customer Services (GCS) Department. Roles and responsibilities Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the accuracy and timeliness of the data elements contained in the various GCS databases. Perform basic data analysis to generate both standard and ad-hoc reports. Assist with the design of methods for data collection, data storage and integrity, and data interpretation. Deliver SLA driven reports to external customers by following a set of procedures to produce a quality report, and by adhering to deadlines. Interface with other Forensic Technology (FT) departments to develop processes for information accuracy, updates, purges, and nomenclature. Establish Quality Control processes to validate and periodically audit the data in all GCS databases and report quality performance issues (accuracy and timeliness). Suggest improvements for the existing GCS data systems and the database maintenance processes. Assist with maintenance of databases where appropriate to assist in the development of key reporting metrics (such as defective parts, repeat failures, machine downtime, staffing of the support center based on peak call volumes, etc). Develop queries/reports on an ad-hoc basis for all FT departments to assist managers with decision-making. Produce assigned reports accurately and on time based on the overall reporting calendar. Control the delivery of GCS Customer Surveys, perform analysis, and prepare reports for the GCS Management team to review overall performance of GCS. Preparation of SLA mandated reports by ensuring scripts, spreadsheets and other GCS tools are up to date Extract data from various GCS Systems and customer databases. Develop queries/reports on an ad-hoc basis for all FT departments to assist managers with decision-making. Key Competencies Understanding customer needs and is creative in meeting those said needs. Responds well to unexpected requests; can adjust to meet new deliverables. Qualifications and experience Minimum of 2 years experience with data analysis and reporting. Must possess knowledge and operational experience with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, Visio, and PowerPoint. Must understand database schemas and possess knowledge of SQL commands to retrieve data from established databases Previous experience with Relational Database Management System desired Excellent communication skills in dealing with various departments and department managers. Ability to work autonomously. Ability to multi-task with a strong attention to details. Ability to follow a set schedule to meet strict deadlines.
