What are the responsibilities and job description for the ENVIR TECH position at Forrest General Hospital?
Job Summary:
Performs cleaning and trash removal functions, carpet and hard surface maintenance, in all areas of the hospital on a routine and project basis. Will maintain equipment in clean, working condition, demonstrate knowledge of proper use of chemicals and other supplies. Will be responsible for moving furniture and equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers/shampooers, housekeeping carts, etc., and be exposed to various types of chemicals. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs.

Qualifications:
Education/Skills
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Work Experience:
One year previous work experience preferred. Previous experience in housekeeping or in healthcare
field preferred.
Mental Demands:
Ability to perform repetitive tasks, accept disrupting work flow, take verbal/written instructions and
follow them precisely, demonstrate cooperativeness, good judgment, initiative, ability to relate well to
other people, work without close supervision, possess good verbal/written communication skills.
