Forrester is looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our talented and highly engaged HR team. This position is responsible for all recruiting activities for external and internal recruitment, including managing the Applicant Tracking System and Forrester’s use of recruiting platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and ZipRecruiter. This position also coordinates recruiting for Forrester’s entry-level professional development program and manages the summer Internship Program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish, maintain, and enhance professional relationships with internal customers to develop and implement recruiting and staffing plans.
- Manage and effectively negotiate to “close” candidates.
- Impact & manage recruitment efforts to preserve and enhance company culture.
- Design and implement creative sourcing and recruiting strategies to improve recruiting efficiency and time to fill open positions, including the use of social media and recruiting platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.
- Provide guidance to hiring managers in interviewing and selection.
- Manage and maintain recruiting management systems and applicant tracking system.
- Regularly attend networking and other events outside of normal work hours with industry and trade organizations to build relationships and create a robust recruiting pipeline.
- Provide support for the partnerships between Forrester and designated universities and attend/manage all logistics for career fairs.
- Partner with key campus organizations, career services, and departmental professors to develop and establish strategic networks that will ensure Forrester presents on-campus, in the classroom and within student groups.
- Assist in the development and deliver on-campus workshops related to Forrester’s business and career related development topics within the construction industry.
- Maintain and manage logistics for the University events calendar.
- Coordinate Forrester’s Summer Internship Program and develop and implement strategies that lead to conversion to full-time hires post-graduation.
- Attend campus events and ensure representation of Forrester Operations Team Members. Position requires 10% travel. Manage on-campus recruiting to deliver top talent to meet Forrester’s strategic growth goals.
- Establish, maintain, and enhance professional relationships with external recruiting sources.
- Track and report on market trends, competitive issues, and recruitment best practices.
- Foster communication and facilitate positive relationships with Team Members and Management.
- Manage relationships with temporary staffing agencies; coordinate the use of temporary staffing company-wide
- Support and implement other Human Resources programs and initiatives as necessary.
Essentials Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to establish rapport and build relationships with external network contacts, hiring managers, HR peers and internal & external candidates. Ideal candidate will possess the ability to engage others, interview effectively using behavioral interviewing and active listening techniques.
- Proven track record negotiating with and closing candidates.
- Experience recruiting hard to fill positions a plus.
- Position requires 15% travel.
- Must be willing to attend evening events.
- Advanced experience with recruiting platforms like LinkedIn, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, etc.
- Advanced experience with Applicant Tracking Systems required; experience with Jobvite a plus.
- Proven problem-solving skills and business acumen.
- Must be goal oriented and a self-starter.
- Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization skills with a demonstrated attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
- Ability to effectively screen candidates, interview and secure new hires.
- Ability to influence key decision makers throughout the staffing process.
- Ability to negotiate contracts with multiple service vendors.
- Efficient in MS Office suite.
