ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs a wide range of duties relative to the maintenance and processing of employment records.
- Performs HRIS data entry and assists with uploading and scanning documents as needed.
- Provides support in tracking of required documents including, but not limited to, licensure and certifications.
- Provides administrative and general support to the Human Resources department on all personnel matters.
- Assists with new hire onboarding and orientation, and benefits and performance management administration.
- Assists Department personnel. Provides support on training and benefits programs.
- Assists the Human Resources team with special projects and responsibilities.
- Provides clerical and operational support to the Human Resources staff.
- Provides clerical and administrative support for strategic planning and leadership training activities and sessions when necessary.
- Maintains and updates employment files. Ensures employment files are complete and in compliance with FDIHB policies and legal regulations.
- Ensures all Human Resources records are maintained in accordance with established FDIHB policies and applicable Navajo law and other regulations.
- Assists in ensuring employees are informed of programs and policies.
- Assists in resolving employee requests, complaints, and problems courteously and promptly.
- Assists in keeping management informed of area activities and of any significant concerns.
- Assists with setting up meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits and other related incentive programs. Ensures distribution of required employee notices.
- Completes required reports accurately and promptly.
- Attends meetings and trainings as required.
- Ensures FDIHB’s professional reputation is maintained.
- Ensures questions and concerns are promptly and courteously resolved.
- Stays abreast of developments in personnel management and related legal requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MANDATORY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
Three (3) years of direct work experience.
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalency (HSE).

FDIHB and its facilities are located within the Navajo Nation and, in accordance with Navajo Nation law, has implemented a Navajo/Indian Preference in Employment Policy.
