We are looking for an experienced Baker who is passionate about the art of baking and dedicated to producing top-notch baked goods. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked items, including bread, pastries, cakes, and other specialty items, according to our recipes and standards. You will work closely with our culinary team to ensure that all products meet our quality and freshness standards and delight our customers.
Responsibilities:
- The primary responsibility is to prepare and bake a variety of goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts, according to the restaurant's recipes and standards.
- This involves measuring and mixing ingredients, such as flour, sugar, yeast, and butter, to make doughs and batters.
- Operating baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and dough sheeters safely and efficiently.
- Ensuring that all baked goods meet quality standards in terms of taste, texture, appearance, and freshness.
- Monitoring inventory levels of baking ingredients and notifying management when supplies need to be replenished.
- Keeping work areas, equipment, and utensils clean and sanitary, following food safety and hygiene standards.
- Collaborating with chefs and management to develop new baked goods for the restaurant's menu, taking into account customer preferences and trends.
- Clear tables and clean banquet rooms after events, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are properly stored.
- Provide assistance to guests with disabilities or special needs, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
- Follow company policies and procedures, including adhering to dress code and grooming standards.
Required Experience:
- Proven experience as a Baker or pastry chef in a bakery or similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently produce high-quality baked goods.
- Creativity and attention to detail in decorating and finishing baked items.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Working Conditions/Environment
- The person having this position may have to be proficient in seizing, grasping, turning, and holding objects with hands.
- The person having this position may have to stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight (8) hours per day.
- Agility in executing fast-paced movements to navigate different areas of the property efficiently.
