Forthea Interactive (www.forthea.com), a fast-growing internet marketing agency based in Houston, TX, is looking for the right person to help support its leading team in a full-time, multi-faceted human resources position.
As a Recruiter you will participate in a full range of activities around the selection of candidates. This position is responsible for conducting proactive candidate sourcing and hiring activities to build a pipeline of talent to satisfy talent acquisition needs in a timely manner. This person will play a critical role in ensuring the company is hiring the best possible talent!
Responsibilities
- Manage the Applicant Tracking System
- Create and update job descriptions as needed
- Schedule interviews for internal team
- Check candidate references professionally, adhering to all applicable laws and guidelines
- Work with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, develop job descriptions and fill critical positions as needed
- Screen resumes for appropriate skills, credentials, experience and knowledge and conduct in-person and phone screen interviews to determine technical and cultural fit
- Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
- Build networks to find qualified passive candidates
- Post openings advertisements, with professional organizations, and in other appropriate venues
- Manage and coordinate the hiring of temporary/contract staff
- Coordinate recruiting initiatives
- Attend career fairs and networking events for recruiting and company recognition
- Manage the use of recruiters and headhunters
- Manage your own day to ensure that you are successfully creating your own pipeline and achieving weekly and monthly targets
- Timely and accurately enter information into our applicant database
- Assist in offer process
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2-5 years of recruiting experience
- Sound interviewing and evaluations techniques which demonstrate good judgment and adherence to applicable laws and guidelines
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to work effectively with candidates and outside agencies
- Demonstrated track record of name generation, sourcing, cold calling, and successful hiring of mid-level and executive-level candidates in a highly competitive industry
- Other HR experience a plus
- Prior sales experience a plus
