Job Description
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our Medical Assisting program. This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Program Director. The primary responsibility will be to teach medical assisting courses. The typical teaching load is 1-2 courses each term, 2-4 evenings per week, 6:00pm-11:00pm. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, assist the program director and participate in department training, meetings and graduation.
Requirements
- Certification in Medical Assisting (CMA, RMA, CCMA)
- At least FOUR years of experience working as a Medical Assistant
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, motivated and results driven
- Prior teaching experience preferred but not required
- College degree preferred but not required
Job Type: Part-time: Mornings or Evenings
Salary: $18.00- $22.00 /hour
