PURPOSE
The Marketing Coordinator is the owner of the proposal process, leading teams in the preparation and development of proposals, interviews, and targeted marketing collateral.
This role will be responsible for creating winning strategies for firm-wide marketing initiatives. A successful Marketing Coordinator will be a strategic thinker, talented writer, thrive in team environments, and be able to manage parallel tasks in collaboration with the Marketing and Project Management teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Technical Writing : for a range of needs from database descriptions, project features, and award submission, among others.
- Creation of new collateral pieces : digital and print.
- Material and Publication research & development.
- Award Submissions : both design awards for internal work and project-award submission.
- Proposal design and production.
- Interview design : presentation collateral.
- Industry Events : assisting in coordinating and / or attending events with clients and industry partners.
- Business Development Collateral : designed pieces (mostly digital with some print) around networking and business-generating efforts and events.
- Photography : assist and / or lead photography efforts with Fortis projects.
- Brand Enhancement : working with team members to improve the look / organization / functionality of non-marketing documents.
- Video and Interactive : exploring and developing new marketing opportunities through this media.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years of experience.
- Proficient writer.
- Ability to research and analyze and then create content around new and technical industry subject matter.
- Aptitude for working within a team environment and handling deadlines.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign is used the most) and MS Office.
- Works without direct supervision and independently with broad guidelines.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work effectively on multiple tasks in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Demonstrate a proficient skill level with MS Office.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record in accordance with Fortis policy.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with Construction / Architecture / Engineering industry or related technical field.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is performed in a professional office environment. Role is stationary, often standing or sitting for long periods of time, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.
Communication with internal and external contacts, including speaking and hearing is required. May occasionally push, pull or lift up to 25 lbs.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
All Fortis positions require some level of driving.
