What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Associate, Office of the CFO position at Fortitude Re?
Reporting into the VP, Finance Chief of Staff, the Senior Associate role provides support to the Chief of Staff and others across the Finance organization in establishing Finance’s services delivery model and driving execution of operational priorities. This role will help execute initiatives that increase operational efficiency across Finance and related functions and support ongoing efforts already underway. This role will be based in our Nashville office on a hybrid basis.
What You Will Do:
- Work closely with the Finance Chief of Staff to define, align, track, and manage strategic and tactical organizational initiatives.
- Creation of these initiatives into workplans for execution tracking and ongoing re-prioritization.
- Manage project from start to finish, including planning, implementation, training, communications, and progress tracking.
- Participate in the development of executive communications to support transparency and monitor progress of initiatives.
- Actively participate in meetings and use your experience to help guide discussions, ask questions and propose potential solutions.
- Engage and establish trust / credibility with key stakeholders across all levels of the organization, including technical and domain experts.
- Coordinate across the Office of the CFO to raise issues, identify efficiencies.
- Collaborate across Finance, IT, Operations, Legal and other key functions.
- Support coordination and management of various management meetings including quarterly townhalls, leadership meetings, and finance offsite.
- Other related duties as business needs emerge.
What You Will Have:
- University degree required with emphasis on Finance, Accounting or Business; Project Management a plus.
- 3- 5 years of professional experience in insurance, finance, or consulting highly beneficial.
- Previous experience in project management and proven track record in executing process improvements.
- Strong presentation skills are essential: including use of PowerPoint to develop presentations & shape messages.
- Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment and to multi-task and prioritize workload.
