What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Coordinator position at Fortive?
The HR Coordinator serves as a vital member of the HR team providing professional and administrative duties which include, but not limited to, recruiting, employee records maintenance, special projects, employee engagement, employee orientation, along with adhering to HR policy and practices.
Common Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for internal and external on-site, non-exempt recruitment efforts. Partners with Talent Acquisition team to develop best practices for non-exempt hiring processes as applicable.
- Create HR documents including offer letters, new hire forms, promotion letters, internal transfers and update to the system
- Conduct Benefit Introduction during New Hire Orientation and put together benefit new hire packets, help plan and schedule wellness and benefit events throughout the year (flu shots, wellness check etc.)
- Manage pre-employment process using our third-party company to track background, drug screen completion, and be the liaison between the company and the candidate
- Conducts special projects which may include, but are not limited to preparing reports, conducting analyses/audits, and providing information for all hands events.
- Manages New Employee Orientation (NEO) program, which includes scheduling, and partnering with managers, supervisors, and various employees/departments.
- Works with other HR members to help coordinate company sponsored events.
- Strong customer/client service skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, both internal and external.
- Assists with administering various employee recognition awards programs.
- Provides HR administrative services/support that includes scheduling meetings, sending emails, conducting exit interviews, process Employee Referrals, Career Fairs and entering requisitions.
- Ensure data integrity in all HR systems.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in human resources, business administration, or other closely related field; or a high school diploma/GED.
- Excellent organization skills and capable of meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities
- Ability to develop effective, cooperative, and collaborative working relationships with other departments, employees, leaders and job applicants.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience preferred: 1-3 years
