Laboratory Technician

About the Job

Come join our team as a Laboratory Technician! As a Laboratory Technician you will calibrate, service and repair company products for our RaySafe products, as well as perform maintenance, testing, and calibration of repaired products. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity learn all the areas of the calibration lab, as well as the supporting functions. In this role you will need be a self-starter with high attention to detail, who is inquisitive about solving problems. On-the-job training is a good way to discover how to do the job better, so you should have the desire to learn and improve. Responsibilities

• Calibrate radiation detection equipment using ionizing radiation sources and techniques
• Review machine generated data to validate assignment of official radiation and analytic results
• Collect documentation, perform evaluations, correct anomalies in laboratory activities, and implement preventative measures to eliminate reoccurrence of anomalies
• Conduct daily operational equipment checks, problem solve, and implement corrective actions
• Provide training to other laboratory colleagues

Qualifications 

• • High School diploma, GED or equivalent required
  • Basic digital literacy with proficiency in MS Office programs (Word/Excel)
  • Knowledge of intermediate math with the ability to add and divide to get percent error
  • Ability to read, interpret and follow written instructions
  • Ability to work over-time as needed
