Job Description

The Director of Cash & Risk Management develops and implements Fortune Brands Innovations’ cash and risk management strategies including objectives for daily cash & liquidity management, determination of short-term borrowings, intercompany loan management, free cash flow forecasting and reporting, bank account management, commodity hedging, cash repatriation, foreign capital contributions, etc. within the framework of the company’s long-term goals and priorities.

Position location: This role is designated as a hybrid role which includes working at least 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) in our office located in Deerfield, IL to foster better collaboration, connection, and innovation.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Develop corporate financial strategy including optimal daily cash & liquidity levels, daily payments and reconciliations, while overseeing required borrowings within the commercial paper program and revolving credit facility and their compliance requirements
• Responsible for the development and analysis of the global free cash flow forecast
• Develop global strategy for foreign exchange and commodity hedging
• Work closely with tax department to develop opportunities to repatriate excess funds overseas while minimizing negative tax implications
• Optimizing intercompany loans, regional cash pools and in-house banking operations
• Manage the development of various financial presentations to the Board and senior management
• Participate as a key leadership role in Annual Report and 10-Q reviews
• Support debt indenture, derivative and guarantee compliance processes
• Responsible for managing necessary controls to ensure all corporate assets are protected including maintaining authorized signers for global bank accounts
• Manage cash investment policy and administration including development of investment strategies and monitoring investment performance
• Manage corporate card program and administration
• Special projects and M&A transition management
• Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.
• Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and provide regular feedback

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree with minimum 10 years business experience
• 5 years’ people management experience
• Strong accounting skills required
• Strong analytical and software skills required (Treasury Management Systems, Excel, PowerPoint, Bloomberg). 
• Strong written and oral communications skills and ability to develop and motivate associates required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

• MBA/Masters (Finance/Economics) preferred
• Cash management experience strongly preferred
• Banking or economic background preferred
