Distribution Specialist

Job Description

• Accurately, and efficiently operate material handling equipment and any other equipment necessary to put away, pick, and re-warehouse product within the warehouse
• Unload trailers and document product by part number and quantity  
• Check product against description on documents and ensure they are identical
• Pull product for customers and branch orders ensuring accuracy of product number, quantity and location from which pulled 
• Stocks shelves with accuracy
• Load trailers with a variety of product destined for customers or other plant/distribution locations  
• Verify product against documentation as to product description and “ship-to” location
• Manages product inspection projects from start to finish
• Safely operate material handling equipment such as pallet trucks, lift trucks, order pickers, pacers, etc. 
• Responsible for effective and safe movement of all materials 
• Responsible to inspect material handling equipment daily or before use of any piece of equipment during the day, for defects before operation
• Checks and packages freight orders
• Receives and processes purchase orders
• Demonstrate appropriate packaging, handling and labeling of products 
• Maintains an organized, safe work environment
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor
• Occasional overtime required 

Qualifications

• High school education required 
• Basic reading, writing and mathematics skills.
• Minimum of 6 months applicable warehouse experience require
